Smokey salmon

So, I made smoked salmon the other day. In Brooklyn, in my apartment, on my stovetop. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Okay, you do need some special equipment, and it's a hot smoke rather than a cold, but it came out really, really well. We've been eating an ungodly amount of smoked salmon with cream cheese on bagels.

  1. Making cured lox in the fridge has long been on my to do list. Didn't know there was a contraption for hot smoking in home.

  2. Yum! Looks even more delicious than the regular kind of lox, which is already pretty delicious.

  3. I'm waking up from my smoked salmon coma to say, yes, ladies, this was all that and a bag of chips. SO. GOOD.
